University SDG Guide a Banksia Awards Finalist!
SDSN Australia, New Zealand and Pacific and the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS) have been recognised for their work on “Getting Started with the SDGs in Universities” as part of the 2018 Banksia Sustainability Awards. The Guide was selected as a finalist for the Research & Academia category.
The Banksia Sustainability Awards is a platform that celebrates outstanding sustainability achievements and also serves as a prolific networking event in Australia, in which the latest developments and revolutionary visions of promoting sustainability are presented, discussed and awarded.
This year, the Awards will be based around the 17 SDGs, with the intention of providing a barometer for progress towards the SDGs in Australia.
We are incredibly honoured to be a finalist with ACTS, and to have the opportunity to showcase the report to new audiences. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Guide and have drawn inspiration from it, allowing it to take on a life of its own.
We would also like to congratulate our colleagues at the Monash Sustainable Development Institute who have also been selected as a finalist for the Research & Academia category.
The winners will be announced at the Banksia Sustainability Awards gala ceremony in Melbourne on 29 November 2018. Check out the full list of finalists here.
