New SDSN initiative offers free online courses on sustainable development
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network is proud to present its new education initiative, SDSN.edu, which brings together online courses on sustainable development created by experts from around the world.
To kick off this initiative, Professor Jeffrey Sachs will be offering The Age of Sustainable Development. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the various dimensions of sustainable development and serves as the foundation course for the broader compendium of courses offered through SDSN.edu.
SDSN has also announced Climate Change Science & Negotiations, a two-semester course introducing students to the science and policy environment surrounding climate change with a simulated negotiation in the second semester, in which students take on the role of country delegates.
Both courses are currently open for enrollment.
The coming year and a half, till the end of 2015, will be a pivotal period in the history of sustainable development. SDSN.edu aims to build a cadre of engaged and informed development practitioners in the lead up to 2015, empowered to tackle some of the world’s most complex and pressing challenges. Please join us in meeting that challenge.
