Getting Started with the SDGs in Cities is a new report from global SDSN that provides general principles and processes on how cities and local governments can get started with implementing the new UN SDGs.
It is aimed at local and regional government leaders, policy makers, officials, as well as local stakeholders from business and civil society.
The guide includes:
- An introduction to the SDGs and the role of cities and local governments in achieving sustainable development
- Step-by-step suggestions for local authorities and stakeholders on defining, planning and implementing strategies for achieving the SDGs.
- An overview of the SDG localisation process and the enabling local conditions that will support implementation.
