SDSN AusNZPac and ACTS are inviting staff at our member institutions to join a member-only discussion about the THE Impact Rankings and how our universities can make the most of participation.

Many members of SDSN AusNZPac and ACTS are now participating in the THE Impact Rankings, which aim to measure university contributions to the SDGs. The 1.5 hr session, part of our joint Accelerating SDG Practice Initiative, will be an opportunity to share learnings, raise questions, and discuss strategies for addressing concerns.

The session is particularly targeted at staff who have an active role putting together their university’s ranking submissions or using the results, but is open to any interested staff.

Topics for discussion could include:

  • What are the rankings useful for and what are they not useful for (including as a tool or measurement system for advancing internal action on the SDGs)
  • How can universities efficiently organise their internal data collection process
  • Issues and concerns regarding the THE’s submission process, including the indicators and methodology
  • The reasons our region tends to do well in the rankings, and how can we capitalise on this

Participants are invited to nominate which of these or other topics they are interested in discussing when they register.

The session will not be recorded, however, a summary may be made available.
