Watch the recording
This is the fourth session of the webinar series From science to solutions: Mobilising knowledge, partnerships and action ahead of COP31, discussing priority areas for the COP31 Presidency, and the role of science in accelerating climate action. The series is hosted by UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), in partnership with SDSN Türkiye, and SDSN Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.
Ambition without finance is insufficient. This session focuses on how to mobilise, direct, and account for climate finance at the scale required by the climate crisis — one of the most contested areas of global negotiations. It examines the role of green taxonomies, the interplay between public and private capital, and the frameworks needed to align investment with measurable climate impact. The discussion is aimed at researchers, policymakers, and finance practitioners. This session will examine how to transform global financial commitments into credible, investable, and measurable transition pipelines.
