SDSN AusNZPac and its members and partners actively contributed in a range of ways to the Australian Senate’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Inquiry into the SDGs.

SDSN AusNZPac has been pleased to see many of its recommendations reflected in the report on implementation of the SDGs in Australia from the Australian Senate’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade.

On February 12 2019, SDSN Youth brought together leaders and representatives from youth organisations and initiatives in Australia in a forum to examine the critical role of young people in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SDSN Australia/Pacific and its Youth Initiative were pleased to support the reporting process of Australia's first Voluntary National Review, released on 15 June 2018.

SDSN Youth has released a Final Statement from their youth sector consultation towards Australia's Voluntary National Review on Agenda 2030 and the SDGs.

This new SDSN Youth thematic paper - developed in support of the UN Security Council Resolution 2250 - explores the causal impacts of climate change with the security and development prospects of youth populations, specifically in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.

SDSN Youth is calling for passionate and motivated young people in Australia and New Zealand to help empower schools and teachers globally to educate children on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Applications close 31 July.

SDSN Youth invites young people and others to help raise awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within their local campuses and communities.

The report from the Summit - which brought together passionate and motivated young people from around Australia to facilitate collaborative action towards the achievement of the SDGs in Australia in October 2016 - is now available.

SDSN is excited to partner with the Ecocity World Summit and SDSN Youth to give students from Victorian universities an opportunity to attend the Ecocity World Summit in July 2017.
